Meet the Head Tutor
Herne Bay Music School is led by Sean Palmer, an
accomplished music tutor with over 21 years of teaching experience across the UK.
Sean has worked in:
- Leading music schools
- Primary, secondary, and SEN settings
- Students’ homes and online environments
He has supported students of all ages, including those with: Autism, ADHD, Tourette’s Syndrome, OCD, and SEMH needs
Alongside teaching, Sean is an active music professional, signed to multiple record labels, with music featured in film, TV, and video games. He has also performed in
function and rock bands, bringing real-world industry
experience into every lesson.
Sean is known for building strong relationships with students and tailoring each lesson to their individual goals, creating an engaging, enjoyable, and rewarding learning experience.
DJ Lessons
Our DJ tutor, Will Norman, specialises in teaching students how to mix on professional DJ decks, helping them
develop the skills, confidence, and creativity to bring their mixes to life.
Community & Opportunities
We are proud to work closely with local schools and the wider community, providing access to high-quality music education for all ages and abilities.
Each year, we host Summer and Christmas shows, giving students the opportunity to perform live in front of family and friends—building confidence and celebrating
progress.

Pricing & Payment
- Lessons: £21 per session
- Payment is made in cash before the lesson starts
Additional Services
- Fully equipped band rehearsal spaces (drum kit & PA system included)
Half Term Music Production Courses
We offer 5-day music production courses during half term, where students work towards a real-life qualification,
Recognised globally, with their work submitted at the end of the week. This entire course including the qualification fee is £250 per pupil
Safeguarding
All tutors:
- Hold enhanced DBS checks
- Are fully safeguarding trained
- Certified up to Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Are First Aid Trained
